What is
The EV Ready Plan is a solution to design a strategy for EV ready parking place installation. This initiative helps MURS, business, school districts, dealership, and other organizations to be future proofed with a simple process to access EV charging at their parking space.

What is included?
Electrical Capacity Assessment
The Electrical Capacity assessment evaluates the current electrical system, including determining the size of the existing main service, understanding the peak demand for the main service and how it was calculated, and identifying the spare capacity before the installation of the EVSE.
Charging Performance Assessment
A charging performance assessment analyzes EV charging power needs for optimal driving range based on resident needs, incorporating a survey of residents’ travel habits and considering local factors like climate, topography, vehicle sizes, and demographics.
Small EV Charger Solution (Optional)
We can provide a short term, small, stand alone, EV Charger solution that will get several EV’s powered up. This would help serve the strata until the complete EV Ready Plan design was constructed. It allows EV buyers to access a charger immediately.
Recommended Solutions for Parking Spaces
Extropic ensures optimal solutions for resident needs, optimizing breakers, addressing insufficient service capacity, managing energy usage and fees, ensuring compatibility with other chargers, and providing a cost estimate for electrical infrastructure and charging equipment installation.
Electrical Planning Report (only for MURBs)
Introduced by OIC-671, the Electrical Planning Report is an excellent tool for Multi Unit Residential Building (MURB) Stratas. It assesses the building’s electrical infrastructure, provides insights into usage and capacity, and offers upgrade recommendations to meet evolving energy needs.

A significant portion of the EV charging and common strata loads can be offset with solar electricity. Extropic can provide a solar assessment and interconnects with the EV ready plan. A solar concept plan will allow the strata to plan and budget for these great investment and saving opportunities.
